Thank you for your interest in applying to West Portal Lutheran! Please read below for important dates and information for the 2027-2028 admissions cycle.

1.
Fill out and submit an application and pay the $150 application fee.
2.
Complete application by submitting:

RECOMMENDATION FORM from your child's current teacher.

A copy of your child's BIRTH CERTIFICATE

A copy of your child's most recent REPORT CARD (Grades 1-8).

A copy of your child's most recent STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES (Grades 1-8).
3.
Schedule an assessment.
Kindergarten applicants complete a 20-30 minute Kindergarten readiness assessment
Grades 1-8 applicants participate in a Shadow Day at our school with their current grade level. Shadow Days will be scheduled through the admissions office.
4.
After the assessment, an admissions decision will be made.
Upon acceptance to West Portal Lutheran School, a non-refundable, non-transferable tuition deposit of $1700 will be due in order to guarantee your child’s space in his or her class. It will serve as your first installment toward your child’s tuition for the ensuing year. Your remaining balance will be divided into a number of installments, which you will choose later.
