HOW TO APPLY

We are currently enrolling students for the 2023-2024 school year and transfer students for the current school year. Our admissions timeline and deadlines are below. Please contact admissions@wplsf.com or call 415-731-3000 with any questions.

​REGULAR ADMISSIONS

March 1, 2023

Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space allows.

PRIORITY ADMISSIONS DEADLINE

December 19, 2022

2022-2023

Limited spaces are open for transfer students for the current school year. To apply, please select the 2022-2023 school year on the application.

1.

Fill out and submit an application and pay the $150 application fee.

2.

Complete application by submitting:

  1. RECOMMENDATION FORM from your child's current teacher.

  2. A copy of your child's BIRTH CERTIFICATE

  3. A copy of your child's most recent REPORT CARD (Grades 1-8).

  4. A copy of your child's most recent STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES (Grades 1-8).

Schedule an assessment.

 

Kindergarten applicants complete a 20-30 minute Kindergarten readiness assessment

Grades 1-8 applicants participate in a Shadow Day at our school with their current grade level.

After the assessment, an admissions decision will be made. 

Upon acceptance to West Portal Lutheran School, a non-refundable, non-transferable tuition deposit of $1450 or the 2023-2024 school year ($1,350 for the 2022-2023 school year) will be due in order to guarantee your child’s space in his or her class. It will serve as your first installment toward your child’s tuition for the ensuing year. Your remaining balance will be divided into a number of installments, which you will choose later.
