GRADE 1-8 APPLICATION

Application Procedure

For the Academic Year 2020-2021, the Grade 1-8 application procedure is as follows:

01.

Applications are now being accepted. Download and complete.

02.

Submit application with a non-refundable, non-transferable check for $150.

03.

Attach or email a copy of your child's birth certificate, most recent report card, and standardized test scores.

04.

Complete application by submitting a referral form from your child's current teacher. 

05.

Once application with required documents have been submitted, a visitation day and entrance exam will be scheduled for your child.

Acceptance is based on the following: 

  1. Established membership in West Portal Lutheran Church

  2. Brothers or sisters in West Portal Lutheran School

  3. Application information

  4. Current school evaluation

Upon acceptance to West Portal Lutheran School, a non-refundable, non-transferable tuition deposit of $1,100 will be due in order to guarantee your child’s space in his or her class. It will serve as your first installment toward your child’s tuition for the ensuing year. Your remaining balance will be divided into a number of installments, which you will choose later.

Please note: All 1st Grade applicants must be six years old by September 1 of their 1st Grade year.
