What is your favorite thing about teaching?
My favorite part of teaching is getting to know so many wonderful kids. They fill my life with endless joy. I especially love teaching them about the unconditional love of Jesus Christ!
Please describe anything unique or interesting in your background that is relevant to the job.
I have gone on six mission trips to Poland over the last ten years. There I taught Polish children to speak English at a Bible Day Camp! This trip changed my life, and was a big reason I felt called into the teaching field
Who/what inspired you to become a teacher?
I was inspired to become an educator by the many teachers I have had in my life that made me fall in love with school and learning. These teachers taught me many life skills and my core values that I still hold to and find my identity in today.
Can you share any favorite quotes?
"Do little things with great love."
What is the coolest or most important (teaching/learning/educational) trend you see today?
I love the focus on social/emotional learning today. I believe it is just as important to teach children how to be good people, as it is to teach them in academics. I feel that students thrive when there is a balance of the two in the classroom!
