Jin Yang

Jin Yang is thrilled to teach at West Portal Lutheran School as one of the 5th-grade teachers. He was born in South Korea and raised in San Francisco. He earned a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University (2016) and an M.Div from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2022). He has four years of teaching experience in various age groups ranging from children to adults. Jin came to saving faith and trusted in the finished work of Jesus Christ in his college years and is passionate about living out his faith by reaching the next generation. He is married to his beloved wife Lynn, and they have one beautiful daughter, Avigail (2). For rest and recreation, he loves to spend time with his family, read theology books, and play chess.
