Andrew Bailey is excited to join the WPLS team as the new 6th & 7th science teacher. Hailing from the mountains of North Georgia, Andrew began teaching science in 2015 at the Barrier Island Environmental Education Program in South Carolina. Later he taught science for Mission Springs Outdoor Education program in the Santa Cruz Mountains for a semester before moving back to Barrier Island to work as the program assistant for another two years. In 2018 Mr. Bailey moved to San Francisco where he began teaching students with special needs and has been a lead teacher since 2021. He is currently wrapping up his masters in Special Education at San Francisco State University and will graduate this May. Mr. Bailey lives with his wonderful wife, Veronika who works for Cru, in San Francisco. In his free time he enjoys hiking, tracking animals, exploring and reading. This school year Mr. Bailey is excited to instill passion for learning and love for God’s creation within his students.
