Art Classes (Grades K-3)

In Art class, students draw, paint and craft in a wide variety of projects. They learn and use

various mediums such as oil pastels, color pencils, watercolor, tempura paints and craft materials. Not only do they make their own artwork with joy, but they also sharpen their ability to observe things around them and develop their imagination.

Girl Scouts (Grades 1-8)

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better
place. In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. WPL
currently has three troops on its campuses: Brownies (Grades 1-3), Juniors (Grades 4-5) and
Cadettes (Grades 6-8).

Instrumental Music Program (Grades K-8)
The WPL After-School Instrumental program affords students the opportunity to explore and
develop their musical talent. Private instruction is offered in a variety of instruments. The music
faculty consists of highly trained, experienced teachers who perform regularly in the Bay Area.

Keyboard Educators (Grades K-3)
Keyboard Educators offers group keyboard lessons that teach students how to play the piano.
This comprehensive program teaches all aspects of piano, including theory, rhythm, and how to
read and write music. Students of various levels can all benefit from the course, as each student
works on books within their own level.

Mandarin Language Program (Grades K-6)
The WPL After-School Mandarin Program is a comprehensive language development program
that equips children to speak, listen, read and write Chinese. Experienced teachers incorporate
songs, fun games and interactive activities in order to keep kids engaged in learning Mandarin.

MathCounts Competition Program (Grades 6-8)
MathCounts is a national math enrichment program designed to make math fun and
challenging, while providing students with the foundation for success in science, technology,
engineering and math careers.

New Conservatory Theatre Center (Grades 1-3)
New Conservatory Theatre Center's enthusiastic, qualified teachers will teach a variety of acting
skills including improvisation & theater games, which are proven to encourage self-esteem,
team building and spark the imagination. NCTC focuses on building the tools your child needs
to be a creative, confident, and courageous individual.

Tree Frog Treks Science Classes (Grades K-3)
Tree Frog Treks teaches fun and interactive science enrichment classes that introduce kids
to concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and natural history. Students also
have the opportunity to meet and hold live rescued reptiles & amphibians, do hands-on science
experiments and learn all about our amazing planet.
