After School Care

West Portal Lutheran School provides supervised care for working families before and after school.

West Portal Lutheran offers early morning supervision, beginning at 7:00 AM, and after-school supervision until 6:00 PM.

Morning care from 7:00 - 8:00 AM is $3.75 a day and after-school care from 3:00 - 6:00 PM is $3.75 until 4:30 PM and $7.50 until 6:00 PM.  Supervised Study Hall and an open Computer Lab at the Sloat Campus is also provided.

To enroll your child in before or after school care, West Portal uses a bulk rate punch card system.  Punch cards, with 20 punches each, are available in the school offices at either campus for $75.00.  Morning care requires one punch, afternoon care until 4:30 PM is one punch, and afternoon care until 6:30 PM is two punches per day.  This equates to approximately $2.50 per hour.  Space is limited.  As such, drop-ins are generally discouraged and accrue additional charges, if space is available.
